“Brilliant chaos”

That’s how Tony Hawk described my short film “One More Try”, which juxtaposes skaters’ successes and failures. It’s a phrase that actually says a lot about my work as a director: I’m trying to make viewers see the world in new and fascinating ways while still capturing all the humanity of everyday life.

While “One More Try” went on to win Vimeo’s “Best of the Year” badge in 2023 and an ADC Merit in Film Craft, I was busy perfecting my Arc Portal transition technique for ArrDee & Cat Burns’s music video “Home for My Heart”.

My music video “Walk the Walk” for Gaz Coombes screened at the 2019 SXSW Film Festival. My first music video “Another Love” was one of the first music videos to feature volumetric video technology, which I coded myself using a small array of Microsoft Kinects.

I’ve been lucky to work with fun brands like Nike, Disney, GoDaddy, Uber, Dr Pepper, Snap, Microsoft, and a bunch of others.

I’m an inventor of two patents in the field of computer graphics. I got my start in film as a technical director at Pixar, where I worked on films like Toy Story 3 and Monsters University. I have a BA in Physics from Harvard College.
